What a weekend!

Well it's been another weekend of fun wedding planning. The list continues to grow but I continue to feel blessed by all of those who are willing to help out. This weekend we went to my sweet grandparents in Arkansas. I love going to my grandparents. What a joy to have my sweet family around the house. There is always some jokes and laughing going on....and then most of the time you can find my precious Papa singing some song to worship our sweet Lord......anyways this weekend we went to meet with my Uncle Tommy. I have never called him "Uncle" because he is younger than me and was adopted from Honduras. Tommy was always a "pain in the butt" growing up but now the we are grown I long to see him and his beautiful wife Casey. They are such a sweet couple and will be celebrating their first anniversary in about a month and a half. So anyways back to why I had to meet with Tommy...he is a very talented chief. So we got together this weekend and planned out the food for the ceremony. I told him to be sure and pack Jonathon and I a picnic basket. :) After we hashed out our plans I meet up with my two aunt ....Lisa (Tia) and Robin. They have a friend, Pam who has tons of decorating stuff. After three hours and two garages of going through stuff and the beginings of a headache we picked out tons of free decorations. Yes I said free.....I am so blessed. I thought I was post a few pics of the things we saw. I will not say what I am using but thought I would post what I saw...........

Check...now what?

Recently I have gotten a few things marked off my wedding to do list....since I have a few blogger followers I will share my ideas.
First, I registered at this cute shop called Jennie's. It's located in Holly Springs. I enjoyed picking out plates, glasses, and pottery but felt so selfish to ask people to buy me these things. The lady at the store continued to encourage me to pick out more....here's a few things on my wish list.....Glass by Artwork....Etta B pottery (Christmas), and Peter's pottery. I can't wait to display these pieces for years to come.
And of course every southern bride needs good Mississippi mud pottery....Peter's brown will fill our house and will be used to feed our guest....as long as Jonathon agrees to cook! Ha!

Next, we went bridesmaid dress shopping. What a day!!!! My goal was to keep the prices of these dresses down and to find something cute! Ha...good luck with that! Here are the two bridesmaid dresses that I let the girls pick. Both dresses will be in an espresso color. On the second dress we are taking off that side thingie!

Well my sweet friends there is so much more that I want to show you and will try to add more in days to come. I pray that you all are having a fabulous Saturday.

......weddings ....YES!! I have been a bridesmaid 13 times.....NO!!! I will not make it to 27 Dresses......now back to my post.....After being in all of these weddings it is now "MY TURN"!!! Ha last Saturday was my last time to be a bridesmaid as a single gal! Woohooo! We are getting married in exactly 131 days! Over our Christmas break I marked a few things off my to do list: I finalized the bridesmaid dresses (we are going to order them on Jan. 15th), Jonathon picked out his ring (and for some reason he pouted when he found out the price difference! HAHA!), I met with a florist and we hashed out my flower ideas (this was fun but all the options were a little over whelming), and we got new to us furniture for our house! I know the next five months will fly by with all the wedding planning, teaching, tutoring, and graduate school papers (boohoo)! I am so excited about all the changes!
